My Week on Wednesday… March 19

Join me for My Week on Wednesday to see what I've learned this week!

Hello and welcome to another My Week on Wednesday where I take a few moments to share what I’ve been doing over the week.  I share some of the blogs I’ve visited, and some of the things that I have learned.

Did everyone have a nice St. Patrick’s Day?

No, we didn’t go out drinking until the wee hours of the morning. Or paint large portions of our body green. Or drink green beer. (How disgusting is that, anyway???)

We celebrated by sending the Pixie to school with green ribbons in her hair. And drinking beer… nice, dark beer, from the comfort of our own home. And by having Brussels Sprout Stew for dinner. (Except that I didn’t have any Brussels Sprouts and had to use cabbage instead — it was still good!)

In case you’re not all Irish-ed out, be sure to check out my Shamrock Shake recipe, and of course, my Irish Hot Chocolate.

And here’s a wee bit of Irish humor for you, too! 🙂

An Irish Saying / Once Upon a Time in a Bed of WildflowersToday is the very last day of winter. Here in Upstate New York, Spring arrives just before one tomorrow afternoon. I saw my first robin yesterday. Here are some awesome ideas to help celebrate the Spring Equinox. And you could always Dye Eggs, using natural dyes.

Do you celebrate the Spring Equinox?

Impending Spring is making me think garden-y thoughts again… still… and am thinking that I need to get some Monarch Food into my garden. Read all about it here. And I posted about children’s gardens last week, but 5 Little Homesteaders also has some great ideas on how to create a children’s garden — including a rainbow fence! It’s too cute!

And finally, I saw a post on Raspberry Cherry Conserve from Homespun Seasonal Living… which sounds mouth-wateringly delicious. I am absolutely making this come raspberry and cherry season!

I am so glad you could join me for My Week on Wednesdays. Tell me, what did you do this week? I’d love to hear!

Also, if you haven’t already, be sure to come visit me on Facebook and on Pintrest! And don’t forget to join me tomorrow for Thousand Words Thursday!

Have a wonderful week!
