Hello, and welcome to another My Week on Wednesday!
I’m afraid that this post will be a little light this week. The kids were off of school Monday and Tuesday for Veteran’s Day… and things got away from me.
So. First of all, I would like to thank all the men and women who have served, are serving, or will serve in the Armed Forces. And their families. Your sacrifices are not forgotten, and very much appreciated. Thank you.
For the most part, I spent the long weekend hanging out with my kids.
We went to the playground and played tag, where I learned that I am no longer twenty-two, and that the Boy is almost faster than me… shhhh… don’t tell. 😉
We played board games, and finally got a chance to watch Maleficent. I thought the Pixie would be more scared than she was. I guess some things really are scarier when you’re an adult. We watched Sleeping Beauty too, for purposes of comparing and contrasting.
And I did get a chance to get out of the house with my camera for a bit.
Doesn’t Luna look like she ought to be posing beside some sort of dead bird and a shotgun? Not likely. She doesn’t like dead things… and she really doesn’t like the shotgun. Silly dog!
Unless it’s some sort of ploy to avoid sitting in a duck blind freezing her little golden fanny off… in which case she’s brilliant! 😉
I also spent a lot of time cleaning up my garden, and gathering the last of my herbs. The thyme and oregano have been dried, using my fabulous dehydrator, and my mint is drying, following these instructions. I am also steeping some mint for mint extract, and chocolate mint extract. How cool is that?
And I am making some Sage Honey.
I am actually pretty proud of my tiny little garden which gets hardly any sun. It looks like herbs are the way to go for me!
Oh, and I brought my rosemary plant in, and it’s not dead yet! Yay!
I’ll be back to doing a proper round-up next week… but I don’t know what yet, so I am open to suggestions! Let me know what you want to see posts about, and I will try and gather them for you. 🙂
And now for the Quote of the Week. Approximately daily, I post quotes on my Facebook Page. The quote with the most likes, shares, and comments will become the Quote of the Week.
Thank you for joining me for My Week on Wednesday. Tell me, what did you do this week? I’d love to hear!
And be sure to join us on Friday for the From the Farm Blog Hop!
