My Week on Wednesday and 13 Jam Recipes I want to Make this Summer // Once Upon a Time in a Bed of Wildflowers

Hello and welcome to another My Week on Wednesday!

Now, some of you may know that I have a teeny-tiny jam-making problem. In that I LOVE to make jam and that I have a slightly unrealistic idea of how much jam I really need to make in any given summer. Or, rather how much jam my family can realistically consume (or give away) in any given winter.

Even if I send these Jammy Gummy Bites with the kids for lunch every single day!

So when I see a new recipe that combines ingredients in ways I haven’t heard of, or at least haven’t tried before, the first thing I want to do is run out and make that new jam.

And since I firmly believe that you can never have too many awesome jam recipes on your “to try” list, I have I have collected thirteen jam recipes that I want to make this summer. Some of these recipes are my own “tried and true” recipes from previous summers… and some are new ones that I have collected from my friends over at the Homestead Bloggers Network, and some of my other favorite bloggers.

13 Jam Recipes

Forsythia Dandelion Jelly from The Homestead Lady — I knew you could make jelly from dandelions, but I had no idea you could add forsythia into the mix!

Rhubarb Mint Jam from Homespun Seasonal Living — in addition to a jam-making problem, I also have a mint-taking-over-the-backyard problem. They mean it when they suggest that you only grow mint in containers!

Honey Sweetened Strawberry Vanilla Jam from Homespun Seasonal Living — Strawberry jam is my sister-in-law’s favorite! Adding vanilla makes it sound like heaven!

Raspberry Cherry Conserve from Homespun Seasonal Living — I’ve never tried a conserve before, and really think I should

Blueberry Currant Jam from Once Upon a Time in a Bed of Wildflowers — This one is (obviously) mine, and it is delicious; I am definitely making it again!

Spicy Blueberry Jam from Once Upon a Time in a Bed of Wildflowers — This is a family favorite, too!

Jars of Jam // Once Upon a Time in a Bed of Wildflowers

A Little Jar of Sunshine: Golden Plum Cinnamon Ginger Jam from Building a Frog — I found this recipe last year and cannot figure out exactly how I managed to not make it! It is on the “must” list for this year!

Honey Peach Jam from Once Upon a Time in a Bed of Wildflowers — Another family favorite!

Homemade Pear Jam from Chickadee Homestead — Yum!

Crabapple Jelly from Yearning & Learning — My grandmother used to make crabapple jelly, but I never have. Come to think of it, I don’t even remember what it tasted like

Seedless Elderberry Apple Jam from One Acre Farm — Because unless you are completely dead, elderberries can fix it.

Apple Prune Preserves from Once Upon a Time in a Bed of Wildflowers — My kids haven’t forgiven me for not making a double batch of this last year. Apparently it was their absolute, all-time, favorite jam ever. And we ran out. Oops!

Cranberry Orange Marmalade from Prudent Living on the Home Front — I am not a fan of store-bought marmalade, but niece made some that was delicious! And I love the cranberry-orange combination!

Here are some canning books and supplies that I personally use, and highly recommend:
