It’s Friday. But, to tell you the truth, I’m sad. It seems like this week has been one bombing, shooting, or miscarriage of justice after another… and I’m afraid that I just can’t stomach the whole perky, happy, blog hop day thing I usually do.
I suppose I could talk about all the Bad Things that are happening. Maybe we could even argue about them… about who did what and why. About if they deserved it. Or if it could have been prevented or changed or if something else might not have been worse.
But I’m not up for either of those things.
I looked through my old Quotes of the Day for something to make me feel better. Quotes by smart people, just people, observant people… Quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King, Elie Wiesel, or Niemöller… but they all seemed to be focusing on the unjustice, the bad thing, and why ignoring it, reacting to it, justifying it wouldn’t help. And they’re all right, of course.
Helpful, probably, but not hopeful.
Then I found this one from Anne Frank.
It is still Friday. And still time for another round of From The Farm and we would still love to see your ideas on how to garden, homestead, or any DIY tips and tricks. Last Week’s Top 3 Favorites, as chosen by YOU:
